Spurs can hire ‘incredible’ Europa League champion

So, if we reach the point where Daniel Levy and Co need to make a decision between Glasner and Iraola in the next few weeks, why would they choose the former?

First, he has proven that he can win big prizes with teams that aren’t always expected, as he led Eintracht Frankfurt to the glory of the Europa League in 2022, just their second major trophy since the 1987/88 season.

Additionally, he just brought Crystal Palace to their third FA Cup final and completely changed many players, most notably Jean-Philippe Mateta.

For example, in the 22/23 campaign, the Frenchman scored only four goals in 33 games, but last season, he jumped 19 goals and six assists in 39 games, and this season, he has hit 17 goals and four assists in 41 games.

Finally, it’s important that despite the Hawks taking over the Hawks in relegation form, he’s better with their record than the Cherry Boss being around him.

For example, since working on Selhurst Park, the 50-year-old has won 25 games, winning 15 times and losing 15 times, averaging 1.64 points per game.

By comparison, Espanyol won 33 games on the South Coast, winning 20 games and losing 30, with an average of 1.43 points per game.

Ultimately, while the two managers may improve Postecoglou, Glasner has a lineage that won major honors and is arguably a more impressive turn for oversight than Iraola’s struggling Premier League team.
