Spurs want “special” Irala alternative

The wall closes on Tottenham’s Ange Postecoglou.

The Australian started his tenure with a sensation of ten games last season, but things have been getting worse since then.

From a great performance perspective, the North Londoners ranked 14th in the Premier League, winning over their names, and despite the injury playing their role, the team against Fulham went almost all out on the weekend.

Understandably, such a bad return this season has allowed many senior executives to tout alternative Australians in the summer, such as Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth, but a recent report now throws another name into the ring.

According to the latest report from the Telegraph, Daniel Levy and Daniel Levy and Co have identified Iraloa and Fulham Boss Marco Silva as “leading candidates” to replace Postecoglou if they fired him in the summer.

The report reiterates that pressure on the Australians has increased significantly as the North Londoners’ latest defeat – No. 15 in the Premier League this season.

Interestingly, while Bournemouth is expected to fight teeth and nails to keep their managers on for at least another season, “has raised questions about Silva’s future at Fulham, which could give Lily White a real chance to land their men.

Additionally, while he signed a contract with the Goats until the end of next season, it reportedly had a £6 million release clause, which made him joining the Spurs completely reasonable.

Why should the Spurs hire Silva

So the argument for dismissing Postecoglou is very simple: He lost 19 of 46 games this season, averaging only 1.50 points per game in all games.

But if it comes down to choosing between Sharva and Ilara in the summer to replace him, why should Levy and Co go with the former?

Well, the first reason is a simple fact that, as mentioned above, he seems more available than the Spaniard, which in turn may lead to a better transition from Ange and the next season.

The second reason is that although the Bournemouth boss has received all the attention it deserves this season, Lisbon-born Gaffer actually has a better campaign.

For example, in all the games this semester, the former Rayo Vallecano boss won 15 games, won 8 games and lost 10 games, with an average of 1.61 points per game, while the former Everton manager won 16 wins, an average of 1.68 points per game.

Finally, while both managers are exciting and currently perform well in their respective aspects, journalist Jack Kelly calls it “special” Silva with greater experience in British football, managing Hull, Watford and Everton, and then taking up a job in West London.

So the risk of hiring him is essentially reduced, and after such a season, it will surely attract the power in N17.

Ultimately, it looks like Postecoglou’s time in Tottenham’s seat may end in the summer, and if Levy and Co want to give the team the best chance to move forward next season, they should hopefully bring the guys that make Fulham a horror claim.
