St. Andrews Old Course to host 2027 Open

The home of golf is about to host its next Open Championship.

The R&A announced on Thursday that the 155th Open Championship will be held from July 15 to 18, 2027 at the St Andrews Old Course in St Andrews, Scotland. An important anniversary as it marks the day amateur Bobby Jones won the 1927 British Open at St. Andrews by six strokes and defended the title the previous year It's been 100 years since the title was won at Royal Lytham & St Annes.

This year's Open will be held at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Portrush, Northern Ireland, while the 2026 Open is scheduled to be held at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England.
