Warriors star Stephen Curry and Draymond Green discuss the addition of Nets guard Dennis Schroder.
Curry has plenty of experience playing against the German, with the two having played against each other 17 times in the NBA.
“He's a true competitor,” Curry said of Schroeder. “Can create, score, run the offense, the whole lineup. I'm excited to see him come in. Gives us another guy that can attack the defense and on the other side he loves to compete.
“He works hard on the defensive end as well. So it should be a seamless transition for him. We'll see how it looks.
Green is also a big fan of Schroeder's work.
“I like the way he carries himself,” Green said. “He acts like he belongs in every room at all times. I respect that kind of guy. Looking forward to being a teammate and getting to know him better. But I know who he is and what he is, and that's what's important.
The four-time Warriors champions ensured Warriors management moved quickly on day one of licensing to secure the 2023 FIBA World Cup gold medal.
“It really gives us a sense of how management is feeling and thinking,” Green said. “Mike has been outstanding since he stepped into this role. The urgency to get this deal done like this (snaps his fingers) just continues to show why he is who he is, why he took over this role, and why he will continue to serve as the general manager in this Outstanding performance in the league.
Curry added: “With Bob [former GM Myers] With Mike, if there's something that's true or there's something that's worthy of me having a serious conversation with, it's always a conversation. I don't want to be distracted by what-ifs and stuff like that. Things happened very quickly. It’s great to have the opportunity to play with someone we’ve played against for a long time.
