Stuart Cink to join Champions Tour in 2025

Stewart Cink has committed to play full-time on the PGA Tour Champions Tour in 2025.

Cink, 51, joined the PGA Tour in 1997 and has played 689 games in his career, winning eight times. He earned nearly $44 million.

Cink is the 2009 British Open champion and his last PGA Tour victory came in 2021 at RBC Heritage.

“I love playing on the PGA Tour, but I've been on the PGA Tour for a long time and I'm an anomaly as far as my age is concerned,” Cink told Golfweek. “It's just not as much fun. If every day was Thursday through Sunday, if it was just games, I would still do it. But practice rounds, the practice field, the locker room, the restaurant, at some point, you have to be with your The family was together and my family was on the Champions Tour, so I told my wife, 'I think it's time for a change.'”

He is ranked 173rd in the 2024 FedExCup standings and said his wife, Lisa, agrees with his decision.

In 2024, Zink competed in 11 championship events and posted nine top-10 finishes, including a win at the Ally Challenge in Grand Blanc, Miss., in August.

“I had this opportunity and I don't want to look back and say I didn't take advantage of it,” he said. “I have a chance to do some real good things out there. So, I'm going to keep going. I'm ready. I feel good about it and I'm excited.”
