GREAT ABACO, Bahamas — Sudarshan Yellamaraju shot a bogey-free 64 to win at 8-under at the Great Abaco Classic in the Bahamas on Wednesday by five strokes. , this is the Korn Ferry Tour’s second event this year.
The 23-year-old Canadian started with a one-shot lead and had five birdies in six holes on the front nine at the Abaco Club to take the lead. He birdied holes 14, 15 and 17 to finish at 25-under 263 for his first career win, a record for the tournament since 2017.
Two-time PGA Tour champion Russell Knox of Scotland and Kensei Hirata of Japan were tied for second at 20 under. Knox, 39, has finished in the top 10 in two events on the Korn Ferry Tour this year. Hirata, a seven-time Japan Golf Tour champion, is making his Korn Ferry debut.
