Padraig Harrington paraded in the opening game of the U.S. Senior Open on Thursday. After 32 of the four birds on the front nine shots at Broadmoor East Field in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Harrington took the first five holes in the back and it looks like he might be the only player on the court to play the round shack.
Then scored in the 464 yard 4 15 15 15.
Harrington withdrew his driver and pulled the ball into the trees and bushes on the left side of the fairway. The search begins when Harrington and his caddies, Ronan Flood, arrive at the area where the ball disappears in Harrington: Marshals, officials, Harrington and Floods all want to unearth Harrington and Floods. According to rule 18.2, they do not exceed 3 minutes of hunting.
NBC’s Roger Maltbie’s Search Party participants are not among Search Party participants. It is common practice for course analysts to assist players in finding the ball, but in this case, Maltbie told Golf.com in a phone interview Saturday morning that he would not help because his producer asked Maltbie to prepare to air what happened on display.

“I can’t do that from inside the trees,” Martby said. “So I stayed outside, and then [Harrington] He walked to me and he said, “You can help search for the ball,” I just didn’t respond. “Matby said the ball was deep in the tree, “the chance of finding it slim,” but he said he didn’t help his priorities anyway;
As the search time for Harrington began to expire, an officer in the group did something unusual. The official not only reminded Harrington and the Flood that time was coming, but it had dropped from 10 seconds: 10, 9, 8, 7…, Marterby said, tensions were tense. “He’s working on it, right?” said Materby. “And he said, ‘That’s it, there’s a shopping cart here and the ball is lost.'”
Harrington returned to the tee and hit the second tee (his third shot) into the rough on the right. From there, Harrington made a great approach at about 15 feet and putts for the tough bogey.
Marterby said on the next tee, on the 16th hole of the third stroke, the situation became even more tense. Maltbie said the flood told observers to “urinate” when Maltbie’s discoverer stared at Harrington’s schoolbag and tried to speculate on what the Harrington club used. “That’s our first clue, that is, Camp Harrington is not very happy.”
In that hole, he also “had a few times got sideways from Padrager” – “No verbal exchange, just sideways.”
However, on Friday yes Swap – In fact, many of them are in the current viral scene captured by local TV reporter Brett Forrest, which is shocking given that Harrington and Martby are two of the most friendly characters in the game. Here’s what happened:
Maltbie approached Harrington outside the scoring trailer when he finished the second round on Friday with a 67-signing shot to tie him for the lead. He wanted to clear the air.
“I just wanted him to know why I didn’t help searching the ball, right?” Martby said. “I never crossed with Padraig. I’ve been a Padraig fan for the years. Anyway, I tried to explain to him, ‘Padraig, my producer told me to stand.
At the beginning of Forrest’s video, Maltbie can be heard saying, “So should I not obey my producer?”
A moment later, Harrington said, “You have played golf all your life.
Video from the U.S. Senior Open shows Irish professional Padraig Harrington played with NBC analyst Roger Maltbie.
It sounds like Harrington, who tied first, dissatisfied with where Maltbie stood. But neither did Marterby.

Maltbie told Golf.com: “Every time I try to explain it to him [my position]he said, “It’s pitiful etiquette. It’s golf etiquette that can help someone looking for the ball, and I should know better after the game year.
“I tried to say, listen, I have a boss. I’m not a player, if I were a spectator or definitely played with him, I would help him search for his ball. But I was instructed.
I’m very close to saying, ‘All these years have I gotten from NBC, your name is not on their name. I mean, his caddies work for him, so I’m sure his caddies do what Padrag told him to do. Well, I have an employer, I have something I want to tell me, I have to tell me, I have to honor.
Maltbie added: “Padraig has a lot of opinions, some of which are contrary to what most people think, and it’s part of his charm, OK? I mean, it’s making him a part of Padraig – he’s very unique. But I really hope he understands it.”
Harrington is chasing his second senior U.S. Open Championship. He tied with Stewart Cink and Mark Hensby’s leads in 36 holes at Broadmoor.
Going to NBC with that group? Yes, Roger Malterby.
“As fate does, I will cover him today,” Martby said. “If he is in the last group tomorrow, I may cover him again tomorrow.”
