Manchester City was beaten by Nottingham Forest in a huge match in the Champions League match during a sunny Saturday lunch hour in Nottingham.
The dominant Premier League champions have never had a real chance to win the game, although they may be satisfied given the high performance of Forest this season.
Unfortunately for Manchester City, they couldn’t hold on, Callum Hudson-Odoi scored the only man to score for the Forest game. Morgan Gibbs – The white man played a lofty ball on the top and switched the game to the former Chelsea winger. He drove into the city’s fine box and would go home 1-0 in a recent position.
It was a disappointing performance for Manchester City, who took possession of the ball according to Sofascore, owned 69% of the ball and shot higher than Forest, with 14 compared to the home team’s nine. However, Guaridola’s team only played three in terms of goals.
As a result, City scrambled to the top four, something unimaginable could happen. They may not qualify for the Champions League. Guardiola said full-time that they will reach the European elite club competition “from now on ten finals”.
It’s a tough day for citizens and goalkeeper Ederson may be particularly disappointed.
Ederson’s Performance and Forest
It’s a mix of the day for Ederson, the city’s preferred goalkeeper. He made some wonderful savings, especially one hour-long savings. But, of course, he can handle the winning goal better.
The impressive savings he made in the 66th minute denies the ultimate goal scored by Hudson-Odoi. Forest No. 14 cuts into the interior on his right foot and makes a curling effort toward the city target.
Ederson puts the shot on the left position with his outstretched hand to keep it 0-0.
However, he did not hide his glory for this goal. Hudson-Odoi drove to Josko Gvardiol after picking up the ball from Gibbs-White and had a strong foot.
His shot strayed slightly from gvardiol, beating Ederson at close range, a chance he probably should have saved.
In a season against Ederson, such a tough season in a key game was far from ideal. But he isn’t the only city player struggling on the city ground on Saturday.
A person who can be done under PEP City Star
Just as disappointing as Ederson is on the city ground, he may not be as bad as Matheus Nunes. Portugal International plays at right back, fighting Hudson-Odoi, who is unwavering while driving in the city defensively.
Manchester Evening News reporter Simon Bajkowski gave his performance a 5/10 rating. Manchester City chief writer said he “abandoned some unnecessary corners” despite being praised for his “fighting for injury.”
As far as the game’s statistics are concerned, they’re a little overwhelmed. The midfielder-turned man had 58 contacts and completed 88% of the passes. Defensively, he struggled, winning one of one-third of the tackles, and one-sixth of the final match.

Right back is a minor problem for Guardiola this season. Kyle Walker looks like a shadow of his former self and is now on loan. Rico Lewis is talented but still inexperienced, so why he sometimes turns to Nunes to come to the right back.
With another disappointing performance from Nunes, it seems like City may have to try to add depth to the right back to give him some support. Well, they have recently been linked with Andrea Cambiaso, who can play both sides of the defender.
Regardless of Nunes’ future, maybe his days at right back were numbered. He is a talented player, but is sometimes exposed there, including Manchester United star Armad at the Manchester derby in December.
It remains to be seen how long Guardiola has been on the right back, but the remaining “ten finals” of the season remained, which could be a bold call from him deciding what way to go.
