Liverpool is becoming one of the earliest Premier League champions in history as part of British football’s impressive first season in manager Arne Slot.
Premier League top scorer Alan Shearer called Liverpool’s title on February 22, while many fans’ attention just turned to the accuracy of a clear win since 2019/20.
If the Reds beat Newcastle 2-0 on the same night, running their unbeaten league to 24 games, they will keep the four-game championship.
When can Liverpool lift the trophy compared to some of the earliest past title wins? 101greatgoals.com has detailed information.

The earliest Premier League champion in history
Liverpool will not match its own record, with seven games locked down during the 2019/20 campaign by Slot’s predecessor Jurgen Klopp.
They ranked second at Manchester United and 33 points at Manchester United, with their only league defeat before winning the championship at Watford on February 29.
These are 10 of the earliest champions on the UK’s top flight.
Manchester United, 2000/01: Sheringham Star
After defeating Arsenal on October 1, Manchester United’s only loss before winning the championship in 2000/01 came home and returned to Liverpool to ensure they beat Derby County, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur in the first three games.
They finished with the third straight title of legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson, with the Red Devils above the second-place Gunners with 13 points, top scorer Teddy Sheringham and forward Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hit twice the number in the league, making their team differentials by at least 16.

Manchester City, 2017/18: Guardiola’s glory
City fell behind Chelsea’s third and 15 points in their first season under Pep Guardiola, but their second season under Espanyol saw them become the first team since 2001 Manchester United, winning five games and standing out on April 15.
West Bromwich Albion scored a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford, handing the honors to City, who scored 106 goals and accumulated 79 goals, scoring 19 points over the fiercest competitor. United delayed the city’s celebrations with a 3-2 return victory at Etihad Stadium on April 7.
Man United 1907/08: The First Title of the Red Devils
Despite losing 1-0 in a Notts County game in Notts County, Manchester United became the champion in the remaining five games on April 11, 1908, as recent recent rivals Newcastle, Sheffield and City were unable to win them anymore, even with one win and three losses in their last six games, while Ernest Mangnall’s Team Team nine nine nine nine nine nine appherapplape second plate austplapplate asplace aSthape aSthe aSthape austhe villa sected all villa won the match.
Their two heroes also represent their neighbors: Mangnall became the United boss from 1903 to 1912, when he began his 12-year domination in the city, while top scorer Sandy Turnbull played for the city between 1902 and joined Manchester United in 1906.

Everton 1984/85: Domestic and European silverware
On December 22 as part of a win, Everton won 16 wins and attracted two of the next 18 league games, winning 16 out of five games in 1985 and winning five out of five games in five games in 1985.
Graeme Sharp scored the highest in all matches with 27 goals as the Toffees were 13 points higher at Liverpool and Tottenham ranked third, the first time winning the league in 15 years. Howard Kendall’s side also won the Cup Champions League, beating Bayern Munich in the semi-finals and Vienna in the Rotterdam final.
Man United, 1999/2000: Ferguson’s slope
They will break the eight-day record next season, but Manchester United won the league on April 22, 2000, becoming the first team in the Premier League era to win by a four-game lead, with 20 league goals from Dwight Yorke.
A loss in 22 games and seven straight wins led them to win the championship in Southampton, winning every remaining league match, 52 points higher than the second-to-second goal percentage and 6 points less than the other side.

Man United, 2012/13: Swansong of Alex
United won the championship the same day in 2013, with Premier League Golden Boot winner Robin Van Persie scoring a spectacular goal in a 3-0 home victory over Aston Villa, who Ferguson was in charge last season.
Ferguson’s final game was a 5-5 draw from West Brom as United won the league’s 13th championship under the Scots, beating second place in the second and five games above the City. Since then, they have not yet proposed a reliable title challenge.
Arsenal, 2003/04: Invincible
Apart from the difference that makes Arsenal the only team that has ever been unbeaten Premier League season, the 2003/04 season was particularly memorable for Arsene Wenger’s players as they won the championship 2-2 in Tottenham’s 2-2 draw and won the game in four games on April 25.
Arsenal’s top scorer Thierry Henry scored 39 of his 228 goals that season, and in the final ranking, Chelsea scored 11 points as part of nine straight wins between January 10 and March 28.

Chelsea 2004/05: Master Mourinho
The huge spending Chelsea always looks likely to win the league in the first season at Brash Premier League novice Jose Mourinho, though one midfielder Mourinho inherited top scorer Frank Lampard – scored two goals in a 2-0 victory for Boltton Rangers, winning three titles.
Their only league defeat was provided by the future Bruce’s goal to sign Nicolas Anelka in New York City in October, with Arsenal scoring 12 points in their game after the final day.
Chelsea 2014/15: Mourinho’s last championship
At the end of Mourinho’s second season at the club’s second game, Chelsea lost four games, four less than any of their competitors, and won three games at home at Crystal Palace through the Eden Hazard winner.
They had a huge rapid downturn before City was eight-eighth higher, and Mourinho fired in December after overseeing nine losses in 16 games in early 2015/16, putting his side above the relegation zone.

Liverpool 1982/83: Paisley’s farewell
England scored three points in England in 1981, and Liverpool won a stunning title in Bob Paisley’s final season when they scored a 42-game league schedule in Game 35, 16 points from Watford, second place.
Leading scorer Ian Rush didn’t score at all, as Liverpool failed to win any of the remaining seven games, but United’s 1-1 average score at Norwich City on April 30 meant Paisley’s player was three championships at the finish line, eventually recording at least 32 goals worse than anyone else.
When will Liverpool win the championship?
The staggering chase of second-place Arsenal means that Liverpool will be destined at Leicester City on April 20 if they score three points, and Arsenal lost in Ipswich Town earlier that day, and they are also on the verge of relegation.
Assuming neither of these results goes forward, they are likely to confirm them at Tottenham’s home on April 26 or head to Chelsea on May 3.
