The earliest Premier League champions won history

Liverpool are fighting for the Premier League title this season, and the Reds have almost had to fight as their competitors are declining throughout the year.

Arne Slot may only have a few weeks to win the ultimate award in his first year, and his Reds’ rush to champion glory can be on record.

Throughout the Premier League era, several teams have won the championship before the last game, winning the championship in the trophy. But who does the fastest?

Liverpool can certainly win the championship with three matches, although a large number of award-winning teams have even usurped the achievement of this level.

Manchester City 2022/23

Champion Win: May 20, 35 games

In the 2022/23 Premier League season, Manchester City may be pushed by Arsenal’s title contenders, but the citizens’ experience paid off in the end as they won three more games but they still have three games left.

City didn’t win the league on the court as they confirmed their third title with a 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest.

Manchester City 2020/21

Champion Win: May 11, 35 games

Another long season of victory, Manchester City won an early championship party in 2021.

15 consecutive victories put Manchester City in a tough position until March 2021, with Citizens winning 14 points to extend the wait for the trophy before being beaten by the closest challenger Manchester United.

Finally, it was a Manchester United defeat, and after missing Liverpool the year before, City returned to the top of the British game as Leicester City won Guardiola’s Guardiola in mid-May in mid-May as the third top English champion.

Chelsea 2014/15

Champion Win: May 3, 35 games

Arsenal 2003/04

Championship Win: April 25, 34 matches

Not surprisingly, Arsenal’s unrivaled invincible side won the Premier League by May, with the Gunners winning the championship at the home of White Hart Lane’s rival Tottenham.

Their infamous 2-2 draw turned into a party celebration due to the result earlier in the day, with closest rival Chelsea losing to Newcastle at St. James Park, and Arsenal only needed a little.

Of course, Wenger’s man avoided losing in the last four games – despite falling behind in two of them – made further history at Highbury.

MAN UTD 1999/00

Championship Win: April 22, 34 matches

United don’t have to rely on unbeaten runs to secure an early championship parade as a rather tedious challenger field sees the Red Devils win back-to-back titles in record time.

They scored 18 points with runner-up Arsenal and ended the season with 11 consecutive victories.

Seventh place – a 3-1 victory in Southampton – confirmed their continued supreme victory in British football, with David Beckham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the shooter of the day.

Man UTD 2012/13

Championship Win: April 22, 34 matches

Another season, Manchester United never had a title like never relaxed, happened 13 years later, when the Red Devils won Premier League glory led by Wayne Rooney and Golden Boot winner Robin Van Persie.

Alex Ferguson, head of last season’s Alex Ferguson, was irritated by the anger that rejected in the most dramatic way by neighbor Neighbors Man City.

City could only call 78 points compared to the previous year’s total of 89 points, reaching 16 points after United beat Old Trafford’s 3-0 Aston Villa, and Van Persie’s hat-trick ultimately provided the right conclusion for the supersports.

Man City 2017/18

Champion Win: April 15, 33 games

There is no doubt that City will win the championship in Pep Guardiola’s second season – the only surprise is how long it took them to get the job done.

Becoming a centurion on the last day and beating Southampton was a fantastic campaign cake, they won 19 of their first 20 games.

Just as they threatened to be invincible, they beat Liverpool 4-3 in the Premier League Classic, their spirits suppressed as the championship accusations continued.

They could have won the championship of rivals and closest challenger Man UTD in Game 32, but the shocking 3-2 loss means they waited for another eight days as United was defeated by West Brom at home to confirm City as the title.

MAN UTD 2000/01

Champion Win: April 14, 33 games

Man Utd’s cheeks not only won the Premier League, but also played five games, losing the last three games while winning 10 points.

By Manchester United’s standards, this is by no means a retro season, the Red Devils can only end with 80 points – the side that wins the championship is quite low.

But they didn’t need to take it home as they took a 16-point lead in a victory over Coventry City in April 2001, followed by a shocking 3-0 victory over Arsenal at home at Middlesbrough, which won United’s title.

Liverpool 2019/20

Champion Win: June 25, 31 matches

Liverpool’s victory in the fastest time is a peculiar difference than any of their previous winners.

Liverpool’s historical sports stopped in March 2020 due to the pandemic, due to 27 wins in 29 games, and they have actually won the title.

Their long-term unbeaten start to the season was suspended for two weeks before the league was postponed, with Watford becoming the first goal to beat Liverpool 3-0 in 45 attempts.

After the league restart, Liverpool was finally confirmed as the champion after Chelsea beat Manchester City in June 2020, playing only two games before they were finally confirmed as the champion.

Liverpool set seven games in the championship-elect match, collecting trophys at Anfield in its final home match against Chelsea on July 22, 2020, bringing the longest Premier League season to an end.

Even one side could not win a quick win this year, which shows that Jurgen Klopp’s team dominated that year.
