Tomorrow’s Copa del Rey final referee fell to tears today after responding to a video aired on Real Madrid TV, which highlights the mistakes he obviously made in his career.
Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea will face Barcelona tomorrow in Seville, and every decision of his decision is likely to be under scrutiny after public criticism of the European Champions’ internal TV channel.
De Burgos said the video had an impact on his family and worked to curb his emotions at a press conference today.
He said: “When a child arrives at school, his companions tell him that his father is a thief, which will make you sick.
“What I want to do is try to educate my son and tell him that his father is an honest man who makes mistakes like any other athlete. It’s hard and I don’t recommend anyone.
“We are going through the experiences of many colleagues not only in professional football but also in grass-roots football. Let everyone reflect on where we want to go, the sports and football we want.”

Ongoing campaigns in Real Madrid
Madrid has been speaking out about the referees this season, and in February issued a complaint letter with the Spanish Football Association (RFEF) and the Spanish High Parliament, claiming that the system was “manipulated” and “completely discredited”.
The club’s supporters further objected after midfielder Jude Bellingham took the oath to his post during the Osasuna raffle.
VAR Pablo Gonzalez Fuertes in the Soviet final said officials had enough and suggested they reached a breakout point.
He said: “We will start taking real action and we will not continue to allow what happened.
“In a few days, everyone will see. We will make history and we will not continue to endure what we are doing. Strike? You will hear from us soon.”
