The San Antonio Spurs have a young “monster” in their team, the former star calls him “mini kawhi”

The San Antonio Spurs will need to get the best team from their remaining time for the rest of the season.
NBA Insider Shams Charania confirmed Wembanyama will be out in the form of a blood clot on his right shoulder.
Lou Williams calls on De’aaaron Fox to “make his mark on the team in absence after his recent arrival from the Sacramento Kings ”.
Fox is of course famous for his team’s victory over the Phoenix Suns, although 27-point performance against the Detroit Pistons did not help the team with a score of 110-125.
Not only does the Spurs need Fox to step up for the rest of the season, but Sean Elliott knows a teammate who can help.
Stephon Catle is a “monster”
Rookie Castle swept the league after being selected as the fourth pick in the 2024 draft.
Castle has averaged 12-3-3 this season, but he has been called the potential future goat due to the fact that he played with Wembanyama.
Fox reportedly sent a message to the Castle, explaining that he was a big reason for his joining the Spurs. The young man was even compared to the fox’s crazy hops and speed.
In the failed Pistons, Castle scored 12 points, although he would be disappointed with Elliott’s failure to make the comparison he made.
Speaking about the backing of the fan duel, he said: “Stephen Castle is a monster. When you see him close, he is big, I call him a mini kawhi because he has the same figure, maybe an inch shorter or Two inches, but type of player.
“In fact, I saw Kawhi’s first practice as a rookie and I remember looking at him, ‘This guy is great, he has a big body and his arms are long, but he can’t shoot outside of paint. This kid can do it All of this, he has the same type of build.”
Although not winning the dunk contest, the 20-year-old shines on the All-Star weekend. He was named the MVP of the NBA Rising Star Show Showcase Game.
Spurs combination will be “hard to deal with”
Elliot is a big fan of the Castle, but he also believes the Spurs’ overall roster has a bright future.
Losing Wembanyama is certainly a major issue for the rest of the season, but Fox, whose debut at the Spurs has been a major takeover for one side, according to Elliott.
“De’aaron Fox is already an amazing pick-up for us. Just a different type of mindset that you stretch out fearlessly, and later in the fourth quarter, his hand is in his hand and you feel good .”
“He and Chris Paul were both happy with his chances. But looking forward, De’aaron Fox is someone I have no doubt about, and if he stayed in San Antonio, it would be a combination [with Wemby and Castle] This will be very difficult. ”
The Spurs may move on to another strong draft pick next season as they continue to build a star-studded roster that can once again really challenge the highest.
