You don’t think Scottie Scheffler missed his way to his 31-time victory record in the CJ Cup. But despite his eight-shot victory on paper, Schefler isn’t perfect.
One of his loose swings appeared on the par 9 of TPC Craig Ranch on Sunday when he shot the tee into a fairway bunker, sitting 236 yards from under the green green, slightly above his feet. What’s more complicated about the shot is that the trees on the right are all on the green river. Club behind Scheffler’s club: 3-EROIR.
“Wow, that looks like the benefit of being in the air,” CBS analyst Colt Knost said on a telecast.
That’s it. real OK
Shefleur’s ball landed in the center of the green and pushed it out 20 feet, making him a manufacturing eagle.
How Scheffler launches bunker shooting
When the ball is on the right-handed player’s feet, it’s easy to reach out to the left. This is because of the “flat” swing plane created by lies. Hanging lies, especially on the beach, are also common to hit the back of the ball.
I thank Scheffler for how he handled this challenge was his setup and swing.
1. He is in a high position, aiming at the opening of the target (left). This refutes the position of the ball above the ball and helps immerse the back swing, thus ensuring a solid contact.

2. His guard is long, smooth and unrestricted. Long iron and hybrid fairway bunker shooting requires speed to quickly lift the ball. Making a short backward wave may aid in contact, but no launch.

3. The path to the club is low, with the goal on the left, not high. This is due to steep defenders and sagging paths. From the downline, see the exit of the shaft is actually below his left shoulder. This helps keep the pressure forward and his body turns toward the end.

Scheffler’s tee on the 9th may not be perfect, but his second shot from the beach was – so did his next shot. Scheffler exhausted his eagle putts to six-sixths, thus reducing the chances of anyone catching him from slim.
