Three golf myths destroyed by PGA Pro

Hey golfer, Brendon Elliott, PGA professional has 30 years of competition, and I’m setting a record here. There are a lot of myths on the golf course – players believe they just spread over time. But just because you hear a million times doesn’t make it a reality.

Today, we break the three biggest myths of golf.

Misunderstanding 1: “Keep your head down”

If I hear someone telling a golfer to “put his head down”, I play pebble beach every weekend. This is not true.

What you actually want to do is keep your head stable – not locked in place. A little head movement is natural and necessary.

When you take the club back and load onto your trail side (right-handed golfer’s right), your head needs a little freedom to move. Keeping it completely kills you to achieve good, powerful shoulder turn capabilities.

I’ve been hearing this all the time: “Golf is only for the rich.” Not right.

The PGA in the United States (I am part of me) is made up of golf professionals – people who take courses, coach players and develop games at the grassroots level.

The PGA Tour is a completely independent entity that oversees professional competitions.

Once upon a time, these two organizations were connected, but today? They have nothing to do with each other.

Recently, with all the discussions about Liv Golf, PIF and the PGA Tour, I’ve seen people blame “PGA” on “PGA” just like a large organization makes all decisions. No. The PGA Tour called itself, and the US PGA focused on daily golfers.

Now you know the difference. The myth broke.

These myths have been floating for a long time. It’s time to get rid of bad advice and old-fashioned misunderstandings.
