Fairhaven, MA (January 13, 2025) – Building on decades of groundbreaking golf ball innovation and superior craftsmanship, Titleist launches new 2025 Pro V1 and Pro V1xdesigned to deliver faster tee shots, more iron control and more wedge spin. The new model has Faster high gradient coreredesigned to maintain low long game spin, increase ball speed and add spin on shots into and around the green.
“Golf has to do everything,” says Frederick WardleDirector of Golf Product Management at Titleist. “It’s not just about maximizing an area – golfers need performance on every shot. Every one of our golf ball models is optimized for driving distance, especially the 2025 Pro V1 and Pro V1x, and we achieved Speed gains while unlocking better iron and wedge performance all help players achieve lower scores.
“We're always trying to improve the golf ball in some way, and it's all driven by golfer feedback,” said Mike MadsenVice President of Golf Ball Research and Development, Titleist. “We started by talking to the best players in the world, and they helped us define what better is with Pro V1 and Pro V1x. Our goal is to help golfers achieve better results, and to do that, we're going to use everything in our toolbox of all tools.
The solution for the latest generation Pro V1 and Pro V1x is found in the chemical composition of the high gradient core. Through a thorough core reformulation, Titleist engineers were able to steepen what's known as the “spin slope,” effectively keeping spin low off the tee while increasing spin on the scoring club. Combine that with measurable gains in ball speed, and the result is a product that's significantly better than its predecessor.
