Titleist unveils 2025 T-Series Irons on Travel, including the new T250

The most popular iron for the PGA Tour is to update.

On Monday, Titleist announced that it would begin the touring seeding and verification process for its 2025 T-Series iron lineup. The lineup includes four iron models, as well as two utilities, including the T100, T150 and T350, as well as the U505-driven iron returned by the previous generation.

For the 2025 lineup, Titleist seems to be replacing the popular T200 player’s distance iron with the new T250 model as well as the utility version.

Titleist’s two-year product cycle runs, such as clockwork, and because the company’s GT drivers and Metalwoods were launched last summer, the company kept the tradition by introducing new irons this year. The company has waited until next week’s Memorial Championships to launch new products, but this year, it has released new products on the Charles Schwab Challenge. The company will also introduce hardcore at the DP World Tour held this week in Soudal Open, Belgium.

“It’s years of research, player feedback, player testing,” JJ Van Wezenbeeck, club promotion senior director, said in a press release. “To get out the product, test it on the golf course during game week and prove yourself – it’s exciting to see all of this finally come true.”

First impression

Titleist loves to tease their next club retail on a tour a few weeks ago. Although the company has not commented on the details of the new version, we can draw some conclusions.

So far, the company has released only three images of the new iron, which at first glance looks very little on the T100 and T150. Since its launch in 2019, the T100 has been the most popular iron on the PGA Tour, which should make no sense. Titleist has also led the PGA Tour for the past 11 years (and the DP World Tour lasting 16 years).

In previous generations, the T100 was the iron for two-piece forged players, which had the smallest profile in the T-series lineup, but it offered more forgiveness (more) than a single piece 620 CB or MB. The T150 is its slightly larger and stronger sibling, hovering between the distance between players and players.

Say hello to T250

The interesting part is getting into the T250 and T350. Gone are the popular T200 models that many professionals have added to their backpacks as a more tolerant long iron option and are the option for many amateurs to seek hollow players’ ranged iron. Titleist may feel that the performance of the T150 and the T200 are too close, so they make the new T250 bigger for more separation.

The new T250 may have a larger profile than the previous T200. The new T250 and T350 are the largest and most forgiving models, probably as game-improved iron, both of which feature similar top muscle pad designs and finishes. The T250U and U505 utilities also have similar cosmetics to other lineups.

Symmetry in the design should allow for more seamless mixing between the five models.

No CB or MB alternatives

Titleist’s announcement does not mention the 620 CB or MB single-piece forged irons that have been on the market since 2019.

Titleist updates its classic player design with the previous flagship AP series every two years to update its classic player design. However, since the introduction of the T series, the company will remain consistent in the 620s without any changes.

This may be for several reasons, but first of all, the single-piece forged irons hasn’t had much technological advancement over time, so there really isn’t much reason for Titleist to update these heads and ask their employees to test them. If it is not bankrupt, don’t fix it.

The second reason is that Titleist has developed a very substantial plan to enable its travelers to customize the exact specifications of the disposable iron design. Justin Thomas just won the championship with 621.JT Irons, while former staff member Adam Scott recently reinserted his 681.Irons.
