As Kobbie Mainoo’s contract negotiations continue to stagnate, United have already set their sights on signing a young midfielder who has more creativity than academy graduates.
Manchester United’s impressive midfielder
If the Red Devils are going to improve significantly under Ruben Amorim, they can all do this this summer. At the end of the mid-table in the Premier League, whether Ineos have the funds available to rebuild their side is another question, but that hasn’t stopped the rumor from coming.
People like Matheus Cunha and Chris Rigg both made headlines this week, with Manchester United reportedly aiming to sign an impressive duo. Cunha specifically provided Amorim with a much-needed offensive escalation, ending the blunt nature of the frontline centered on Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
Meanwhile, Rigg represents one of the most talented young players British football has to offer. The 17-year-old has become a Sunderland viewer and may find himself heading to Old Trafford while his future in Mainoo is suspected.
The Carrington graduate has not signed a new deal, and previous reports suggest he can seek action abroad that could force the Red Devils to turn to Champions League-level replacements.
According to Calcio Mercato, Manchester United are now preparing to sign the move to Ardon Jashari, which is worth about €35 million (£29 million) this summer. The Premier League giants are not alone, Juventus, Atlanta, AC Milan and Roma are all chasing midfielders’ signatures, but they are ready to “continue the attack.”

Manchester United may have made a huge mistake in recent years.
Jashari, still only 22 years old, has impressed throughout the current campaign, doing well in the Champions League against Aston Villa and interested Juventus. Now, as the busy race begins to form, he may make a decision.
“Great” Jashari is more creative than Mainoo
Both players will play a deeper role in Amorim’s system rather than a senior role, Jashari has proven to be more influential than this season’s Mainoo and can also provide Manchester United with instant upgrades.
Despite sitting deep, the 22-year-old had as many as 9 goals – further scoring in all games and further assisting with six goals in all games. Meanwhile, in a season full of hurt frustration, Mainoo managed to just score one goal and one assist.
With Zirkzee and Hojlund working for consistency before the goal, any help with Bruno Fernandes certainly won’t be wrong at Old Trafford.
Jashari was praised by analyst Ben Mattinson’s “great technical ability” for analyst Ben Mattinson, but Jashari has only improved since that day and now looks doomed to make a big move.
