‘Turn gold into nonsense’ – Postecoglou admits everything around Tottenham Hotspur is ahead of the Europa League quarterfinal

Angel Postecoglou was in a bad mood before clashing with Tottenham on Thursday with Europa League in Frankfurt.

The Spurs’ frustrating campaign rose slightly in a 3-1 win over Southampton on Sunday and is now preparing to compete for their biggest game of the season.

But the Australian head coach seems tired of the same stupid questions raised at a pre-quarter final press conference, including the Spurs’ last-second fine against the Saints.

Brennan Johnson seems to want to win a pole in the game, but his moment was taken away by Mathys Tel, and he made no mistakes, and he has no doubt about his first Premier League goal since loaning from Bayern Munich.

When asked about the incident, Postecoglou said: “We scored, we won. It’s so glad. It’s really… it’s actually… it’s… when Tottenham Hotspur, it actually turned gold into nonsense. Serious. Serious. If we go up 2-1 tomorrow night and get a fine at the last minute, I want to get the best fine, I mean, I mean violating this club, which is obviously a win.

“The winner’s mentality at the last minute of the game is to score goals. We scored one. However, in this ultimate universe, everything the Tottenhams do is wrong, and it’s a negative.”

Postecoglou was then asked again about his future as Tottenham head coach, and he sighed before responding.

He added: “I came to this club with a clear purpose and vision and what I could offer. That was changing the performance of the team and clearly rejuvenating the team because it was a team that ended with a racing end and brought success.

“As long as I’m in this position, it’s always my focus, no matter what noise happens or any noise that may occur in the future.

“Everything you have in your life usually brings a struggle. From a professional perspective, everything I have achieved in my life brings a struggle. It’s just another struggle, but never lost the will to fight for what I think is right through this struggle, and I will continue to do that.”

Reports show that he should win the Europa League and he may get more time. But anything less may see him unemployed.

He continued: “We are in that position and the good things we might have to do will turn into half the full statement, and from this perspective, I don’t think it’s a driver for what we want to do.

“The lads really want to bring success to the club and keep pushing us to start the whole journey, really sticking together during the toughest times in terms of football we want to play, and hopefully we’ve worked hard to get into a position that will have an impact on our season, which is a very disappointing season for us.

“I just think there is a real determination to seize the opportunity they get at this point.”
