Dane Patterson and Corbin Bose destroy Pakistan
Patterson was the star player with the ball, taking sensational figures of 5/61 in 16 overs. Taking advantage of the bounce and seam movement offered by the Centurion Stadium, Patterson destroyed Pakistan's upper and middle order. He dismissed the captain Jean Massoudalways reliable Mohammad Rizwanas well as other hitters who pitch sharply and are disciplined. Pakistan never found momentum and regularly lost wickets. Bosch's influential contribution (4/63) provided critical support, rejecting e.g. Kamran Ghulam and Aamer Jamal. The two together ensured that Pakistan's innings lacked the required partnership.

Kamran Ghulam stands tall amid collapse
Ghulam was the only warrior in Pakistan's batting line-up and he showed resilience with a flowing 54 off 71 balls. Ghulam played a composed yet aggressive knock, hitting eight boundaries and a six as Pakistan struggled to 40/2. He teamed up with Rizwan for a crucial 81-run partnership for the fifth wicket to counter South Africa's ruthless attack. I've said it before. One time I was watching a WP practice session. Dane Patterson is the hardest working guy on the field. Give it your all in every sprint, give it your all in every drill, and push others to compete with him. The type of person you want around you

Corbin Bosch has been at RR three years ago and is a man who pursues excellence.
A good start with the ball, but it's worth remembering that he averaged over 40 runs with the bat at FC. #SAvPAK pic.twitter.com/3HF9jax8ie— Ashwin 🇮🇳 (@ashwinravi99) December 26, 2024

When Corbin Bosch made his debut, with such beautiful action and a brilliant batsman at number seven, he bowled effortlessly at a speed of 145 kmph. Protea has a bright future.

Trivia: Corbin Bosch took a wicket on the first ball of Test cricket. He is the third bowler in 2024 to win this honor after Shamar Joseph and Tshepo Moreki. For the first time in Test history, three bowlers achieved this feat in one year.
