Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said Myles Lewis-Skelly was replaced after 35 minutes against PSV on Tuesday because the 18-year-old’s “responsibility” and “responsibility” received a second red card of the season “very clear”.
Lewis-Skelly started with Eindhoven’s left-back and was lucky enough to avoid a second yellow card from referee Jesus Gil Manzano when he put Richard Ledezma down halfway through Arsenal.
“I don’t want to take risks, especially in the importance of the game, especially in the management for so long, especially in the game,” Arteta said of winning the 16-leg win in the 7-1 round.
“It’s obvious that we are responsible for the yellow card, the second one [foul]. Of course, this is a lesson to learn. We will support and help him.
“The line is really thin in sports, and he needs to understand that. He is very smart and very demanding on himself. He is a perfectionist and he is learning here.”
Arsenal fans love Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri ❤️

Aiden Paradise faces Arsenal?
One Gunner who may be in the opposition roster at Old Trafford is Aiden Paradise, who was in the middle of the clubs with a “massive” pay earlier this year, after the footsteps of forward Chido Obi-Martin last summer.
“There’s nothing you can do when the player decides that the best way to go is to leave,” Atteta accepted.
“It’s unfortunate because we want to keep our players away from the academy and [them] To be very successful with the first team…we can’t do that.
“I promise you that if there is a player who can help and influence the first team, he will be with us.”
🗣️ “I promise you that if there is a player in the academy who can help us, he will be with us.”
Mikel Arteta said losing Chido Obi-Martin and Ayden Heaven was “unfortunate”, but insisted that there was a clear path for academy players to enter Arsenal’s first team. pic.twitter.com/xz4rmbvhcj

Men’s United and Arsenal
The second-place Arsenal scored 21 points on the table, Manchester United, but they were slim to seize the chance to lead Liverpool in 11 league games of the Gunners season.
If the Reds win Rock Bottom Southampton at home on Saturday (3pm GMT), they will score 16 points, although they will play two games at that time.
Manchester United led 1-1 at La Liga club Real Sociedad in the first leg of the Europa League on Thursday.
