GERS is being taken over by 49ers Enterprises, who agreed to an agreement in principle on Ibrox. There is confidence that a deal will be reached before the 2025/26 season, and the 49ers seem to have some exciting transfer plans for the Rangers.

The report said that this summer, 49ers could offer new Ranger bosses more than £20m of new players, who know they can sign loaner Vaclav Cerny on a permanent transfer.

The Wanderers must sign Cerny for about £5.5m by the end of May, and elsewhere those at Ibrox will negotiate with Dundee to cover the cost of Lyall Cameron.

The 22-year-old has reached a pre-contract agreement with the Rangers, but both clubs have not agreed to the compensation plan, which could lead to court.

McCoist reacts to Celtic’s Greg Taylor’s action claims

Recently, Celtic left-back Greg Taylor has been linked to the move to the Rangers. Michael Stewart supports the defender through Glasgow during the summer’s £15,000-a-week contract at the Celtics.

However, McCoist talked to the media during the Rangers Review pass, saying that since Ridvan Yilmaz and Jefte already had Taylor, it does feel that Taylor is good enough to play for the Rangers.

“He can definitely join the team and play, and I have no doubt about that. He is a good player. In today’s day and age, it may not be as big as it was a few years ago. But I definitely think he can join the team.

“The only thing I want to say is that you already have two left-side players in Yilmaz and Jefte. So for that reason, he is not a priority. I think the Rangers have a much bigger priority in terms of positions that should be addressed and will be addressed.

“But if you ask me if I’m good enough to compete in a team game? No doubt. I can’t see any reason not to do it. When Wee Mo did that, I was nearby, so after Wee Mo, nothing was possible! It won’t be as big as Wee Mo, nothing is as big as Wee Mo.

“You talk about Elvis, Kenny Miller, Alfie Conn… So I don’t think it’s the past few years. I just can’t see that happening because the Rangers have two left-hand players in that position. It’s crazy Rangers, letting the Rangers strengthen in that position, they’re covered in those positions, they need to strengthen in other positions.”
