On Monday, April 28, Montreal Victoire hosted the Boston Fleet to participate in the finals of the 2024-25 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) season. Before the game began, Victoire won two of the season with three wins. Vidor officially won with a 3-2 overtime victory.
Game review
Even in the first stage, the lens is beautiful. The fleet shot eight shots online, while Victory scored seven shots. Minors on each team have two minutes of minors, but this period ends with a 0-0 score.
In the first 15 minutes of the second phase, the two teams were punished twice. Montreal is at work during a two-minute minor in illegal minor check-up. Catherine Dubois shot from the blue line and Klara Peslarova saved the shot. Abby Boreen bounced and shot, but Peslarova saved again. Jennifer Gardiner took the ice cream away because she stayed away from the crease. She passed the ball in a yawning cage and scored her first goal in a powerful game.
Four minutes of the third phase, Anna Wilgren put a hockey puck on the blue line. She passed it to Catherine Dubois. Dubois gave Montreal a two-goal lead after hitting the standoff point.
At 15:27, Sidney Morin sat down for an illegal check. When the Fleet became a player, Hannah Brandt received a pass from Jamie Lee Rattray. In front of the net, Brandt fired a shot, scored a jailbreak goal, and placed the fleet on the board. Despite the loose network and officials reviewed the game, it was considered a good goal.
Just 39 seconds later, Molin found Hannah Bilka’s ice pass. She had an open chance in front of the net, and Billka scored and tied for the game.
With 43 seconds left in overtime, Marie-Philip Poulin holds the hockey along the board. She passed it to Laura Stacey in front of the net. Stacey fired the gun and the puck bounced from the crossbar and goal line.
The next game
Both teams will play their final game of the season on Saturday, May 3. The fleet will host Minnesota frost and Victoire will head to New York to take over as the sirens.
