Springfield, Massachusetts. …The American Hockey League announced today Pascal Vincent Laval Rocket Winner Louis Al Pierre Memorial Award As an outstanding coach for the AHL in the 2024-25 season.
The award is voted by coaches and media members representing each of each of the 32 cities in the league.
Vincent is a Laval native whose hometown Rockets won the AHL best record in 2024-25, capturing the MacGregor Kilpatrick trophy with a score of 48-19-3-2 (101 points), representing the second best percentage point (.701) (.701) (.701), while Ahl Canadains Canadains AHL AHL AHL AHL ARVILAIDE is a 27-point club with a 27-point improvement of 27 points and a 27-point improvement. Vincent’s Rockets allowed 2.47 goals per game and tied with the fewest games in the league, and he played a major role in the prospects of many young Canadians, including nine players competing against Montreal this season, including Owen Baker,,,,, Joshua Roy,,,,, Logan Mailloux and jakubdobeš.
Vincent also won the Pieri Award in 2017-18, becoming its sixth two-time recipient – Join Al MacNeil,,,,, Bob McCummon,,,,, Bill Dinnyn,,,,, Robbie Ftorek and Mickey’s Love – Also the first person to receive honors with two different organizations.
Vincent, 53, joined the Rockets from Columbus on July 16, 2024, where he served as head coach for the NHL Blue Jacket for two seasons. He previously spent 10 seasons with the Winnipeg Jets organization, including five years (2011-16) as an NHL assistant and five years (2016-21) as head coach of AHL Manitoba Moose. He is also the head coach of QMJHL in Breton Corner (1999-2008) and Montreal (2008-11).
The Louis Ar Pieri Memorial Award was first presented in 1968 to the late Mr. Pieri, the owner and general manager of Providence Reds and a member of the American Hockey League Hall of Fame. Since 1936, the American Hockey League has continued to be the top development league for all 32 national hockey league teams. Nearly 90% of players in NHL games are AHL graduates, and the American Hockey League has been more than 100 members of the Hockey Hall of Fame for years.
