Ben Davies acknowledged that Wales’ disappointment of withdrawal at the 2022 World Cup took some time to overcome, but the defender insisted that the team was more motivated than ever before before the qualifiers against Kazakhstan.
Wales was eliminated from the Qatar game and did not make its debut in the World Cup finals for the first time in 64 years.
Dragons began qualifying for the 2026 World Cup on Saturday, and they welcomed Kazakhstan to the Cardiff City Stadium.
Wales remained unbeaten under new manager Craig Bellamy and would be confident after being promoted to the National League in November.

Davies will be captaining without injury Aaron Ramsey, and despite the team’s recent strong performance, the defenders remain candid in evaluating their performance two years ago.
“It’s something I’m sticking with, I’m sure it’s about a lot of other people,” Davis said.
“The best moment in Qatar may be Ukraine [play-off] The game gets there. It was disappointing there and it was hard to overcome for a while.
“We are not really showing our performance or ability on the world stage.
Wales were attracted with their opponents, along with a qualified group in Liechtenstein, North Macedonia and Belgium on Saturday.
On paper, harsh tests may be conducted while waiting for Davis and the company. Totterham Hazakhstan believes that there are no forgotten conclusions in international football matches.
“Every game at the international level is going to be a tough game right now. We know the expectation [to win] Whether it is there, but that’s not something we as a group must focus on.
“It will be a tough game, the opponent will make it very difficult for us and will fight for every ball.”

The game will also mark Bellamy’s first major tournament qualifier as manager.
The 45-year-old is Wales’ 78 blocks as a player and has overseen three wins and three draws in his first six matches – the best start for any Welsh manager.
Davies believes the team is reaping the rewards of Bellamy’s coaching talent.
“I feel like I’ve been learning things,” Davis said of the game under Bellamy.
“The level of detail in the training grounds and conference rooms is second to none. I can give him the greatest compliment [Bellamy] It’s every player on this squad who feels like they’re getting better. ”
