AC Milan defender Kyle Walker found himself in an unusual position last month, stepping into former teammate Dele Alli defending his long-awaited Como professional football.
The former Tottenham Hotspur teammate reunited briefly on the court, and Delay could replace him in the 81st minute. It marks his first competitive debut in two years, on loan at Besiktas in Everton in February 2023.
However, his comeback suddenly shortened when he got a red card in Milan’s tackle with Ruben Loftus Chick (Milan).
Originally displayed yellow, booking upgraded to red after VAR reviews. But Walker, 34, quickly stepped in and resorted to the referee on behalf of Dele.
Walker admitted: “I think my heart is on. Anyone else, I will let them be sent away.” Walker admitted. @but and Dele, I know he’s working on the chance to get Como. This is a great club where he tries to resume his career.
“We wanted 10 people, but for my personal relationship with Dele, the years I knew Dele, he went through his experiences – he said publicly, I think he was very strong and open to it – and then was sent away for the challenge of real cynicality, and he did something hard.”
Dele Alli was sent away just nine minutes after receiving a red card after her first professional appearance in two years.

In recent years, Dele has publicly shared his struggles, including past sexual abuse, addiction to sleeping pills, and mental health challenges.
In the same interview, Walker discussed his international journey as he covered his historic 100 tops in England, recently in the World Cup qualifiers for Latvia and Albania.
“100 is getting closer and that’s a huge goal,” Walker added. “I looked back at it when I first started.” [Fabio] Capelo. Think about it a few years ago, I said in my mind that I want to hit 25 blocks. Then you go beyond 25 hats and you are looking for 50 hats. ”
