Suitable for Gretzky & McDavid associated with Superman
If you’re lucky enough to watch Gretzky and McDavid Live, you’ll most likely accept Superman on the Ice. Many times, both players are compared with Superman. Gretzky is one of the greatest dynasties in NHL history and one of the driving forces behind the Edmonton Oilers in the 1980s. Along with teammates like Jari Kurri, Mark Messier, Glenn Anderson and Paul Coffey, Gretzky and Oilers, it’s pure offensive force that seems to be able to score at will. Gretzky entered the NHL from the Old World Hockey Association (WHA) at the start of the 1979-80 NHL season, with many question marks on his figure and ability. From the moment he first hit the hockey game on the tanker on October 10, 1979, when he assisted Kevin Lowe’s team with the first NHL goal. Gretzky never looked back and became the greatest scorer in NHL history with 2,857 points.
Many hockey fans remember their greatest achievements, including scoring 50 goals in 39 games in 1981, his 51-game winning streak and winning 200 points in four seasons in the mid-80s. He improved his game in the playoffs and led the Oilers to four Stanley Cup victories in 1984, 1985, 1987 and 1988 before being traded to the Los Angeles Kings on August 9, 1988.

Many of Edmonton’s hockey fans are lucky enough to witness a thousand once-in-a-lifetime players like Gretzky, and then they can’t believe it when lightning hits twice in the Alberta capital. On Saturday, April 18, 2015, the Oilers won the NHL Draft Lottery and received the right to the first pick by Connor McDavid. McDavid lives up to his billing as a generation of superstars, winning the Hart Memorial Trophy (three times), the Ted Lindsay Award (four times), the Art Ross Trophy (five times) and the Maurice Richard Trophy (one time). He also won the Conn Smyth trophy in 2024 and led the Oilers to win two Stanley Cup finals in 2024 and 2025.

McDavid can easily be the most dynamic and talented player of his time. The only question left is how many points he will accumulate and how many Stanley Cup championships he is expected to win for Oilers fans.
