Who can replace Casemiro in Man Utd? Amorim’s 10 summer goals

Manchester United could soon replace its biggest revenue Casemiro.

The midfielder, who runs for over £18 million per season, has been withdrawing from Old Trafford for the past 12 months.

He is still a Red Devil player at the moment, but Ruben Amorim, Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos appear to be studying youth and planning for the future, and Casemiro’s days at Man Utd may be numbered.

Manchester United’s monotonous and meaningless draw against Manchester City still sneaked into Manchester United’s poor performance over the weekend, and the refresh of Manchester United’s midfield must be around the corner.

With that in mind, we have already considered 10 midfielders, and UTD can aim to replace Casemiro.

The close connection to the move to Old Trafford has been Ederson of Atlanta for the past six months.

Manchester United reportedly negotiated internally on the Brazilian’s move, which was labeled “a careful midfielder for the central midfielder.” The Red Devils aren’t the only club they are keen on, though, so quick action may be needed.

Tchouameni is known as “one of the best defensive midfielders on Earth”, and if United were to bring the Frenchman to Manchester, it would certainly cost as much, and even more, as Casemiro would, but if at 25, if a move works, they should get more from him.

Eintracht Frankfurt

Reports earlier this year indicated that Manchester United were preparing to sign Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Hugo Larsson this summer.

Larsson, worth about £50 million, is between the age of 20, but has made great progress in Germany since joining Frankfurt in 2023. Larsson is also an all-Swedish international, with a value of €35 million (£2980), a career-high (£29.8 million) by Transfermarkt – a figure that may only increase in the next few years.

As a result, Amorim knows Denmark International well and reportedly signed Hjulmand at pole position at the end of 2024, so he could be another target.

Brazilians have been a regular visitor to Molineux in recent years, and Ugarte reportedly wanted in Old Trafford before it arrived. United are still keen on Gomez, so if they go, we might see the two accompanying each other with the Red Devils.
