Wilcox prepares Man Utd Move for £20million ‘monster’

Over the years, Manchester United landed countless young talents, who joined the club and had a huge impact on the first team at Old Trafford.

Amad Diallo is just a player in this category, spending £37m from Atalanta in 2020, before spending various loans on the likes of Rangers and Sunderland.

The Ivorian has now registered more than 60 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring in 14 games – including the Manchester Derby title in December.

However, the off-season introduces Ruben Amorim, who has the opportunity to invest in more young talents who can make an immediate impact on the Red Devils while also focusing on the future.

Many names have been mentioned before the 2025/26 campaign, which are potential goals, especially when the club hopes to return to their former glory.

The latest update on Manchester United’s hunt for new additions this summer

Young people have been the focus over the past few weeks, preparing for potential long-term success, which coincides with the current project.

Benjamin Sesko, Rodrygo and Yann Bisseck mentioned only three names, and the Summer Switch joined the Red Devils, all under 24, were able to star in the Amorim revival.

But the latest news from Middlesbrough star Hayden Hackney over the past few days is the latest.

They claim the champion is willing to part ways with the 22-year-old after Manchester United interest led by Jason Wilcox, demanding a £20 million fee from the region to sell academy graduates.

The report also noted that they faced fierce competition from midfielders like Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, Spurs and West Ham, with the players making 43 appearances in the league last season.

Why Manchester United’s £20m star could be Amorim’s own Carrick

Midfielder Michael Carrick was an excellent servant when he was a Manchester United player, and the club made more than 450 appearances during his 12-year career at Old Trafford.

The British joined the Red Devils in a £13m deal in 2006 for a top Totterham Hotspur, a £13m deal, a fee for spending his time at Manchester United.

During his time as a player, the 43-year-old won five league titles, one Europa League and one Champions League, and 11 other trophys – providing consistent performance during Sir Alex’s reign.

He is known for his outstanding work ethics and excellent passing ability, which has earned him a total of 35 assists and 24 goals – an impressive statistic for his deep position.

But today, Amorim may find his own midfielder in Hackney in Middlesbrough, while the youngster has the tools to follow his steps.

The 22-year-old has been tagged as a “monster” by an analyst who has been able to learn from Manchester United legends after years of trading at Riverside Stadium.

He was also known by the second-tier podcast as “Young Carrick,” further demonstrating the potential he must explode if he moved to the Northwest this summer.

When delving into the statistics of young people, he managed to impress him with the ball, further demonstrating how he replicated the achievements of the 43-year-old in the Dream Theater.

Hackney managed to complete 10.4 progress passes per 90 points, 8.6 of which went into the final third – handing those in front to his chance to impress Old Trafford.

He averaged 1.3 tackles per 90 games and 1.5 blocks per game – before defense could become an ideal deep choice for Amorim’s midfielder.

For the Red Devils, £20 million may be an absolute steal, signing a young man who can easily consolidate his position on the side of the heart, which will be for years to come.

However, given the interest elsewhere, they will not have to work tirelessly to avoid missing his signature and then improve the partition competitors by 2025/26.
