Wild’s McLean joins Vancouver staff | theahl.com

Vancouver Canucks have been named Brett McLean Assistant coach of the new head coach staff Adam Futer.

McLean has been the head coach of the AHL Iowa Field (AHL) over the past two seasons and has a combined record of 54-74-10-6. He previously served as an assistant for the Minnesota Field Team for three seasons, helping the club to have three consecutive Stanley Cup playoff spots.

McLean also worked as an assistant at Iowa from 2017 to 2020, including the team’s first trip to the Calder Cup playoffs in 2019.

McLean is a Comox native in BC, 2008, playing professionally in 18 seasons, including 274 games against the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks (1998-99), Saint John Flames (1999-2000), Saint John Flames, Houston Eros (2001-02), Norfolk Adilals (Norfolk Admirals, Norfolk, Norfolk (2002–04) and Rockford Icehogs.
