Real Betis lender Anthony said his revival has been in Spain since leaving Manchester United.
When United lends Betis to Anthony, Spanish clubs think they are gaining players who can make a difference, rather than wingers who have lost their own struggles in the Premier League.
The Brazilian came to Old Trafford for a staggering £81 million in 2022 but failed to replicate the form he showed in Ajax. When he left in January, his confidence had completely disappeared.
However, Betis has a clear vision of how to restore Anthony’s career. Since joining, Anthony has scored four goals and four assists in 12 games in all games.
Speaking to Dazn, he said, “I’m so happy. I find myself, I need to find myself, I need to be happy, I need my family to be happy. Every day is going through, I find that this is the best decision I have made.”
“I like this city every day, the club. [Seville] It reminds me of a lot of things from Brazil – the sun, the food, everything. People are also very warm. I’m glad that this is important to us as Brazilians. ”

When Anthony joined, Betis was 10th in La Liga, but a six-game winning streak (including a 2-1 derby defeat of Sevilla) pushed them to sixth place, with only six points in the Champions League berth.
Betis has never played in Europe’s top game since the 2005-06 season, and it’s very likely to get Antony ahead of this season.
Betis has no purchase option in the loan agreement, but Antony himself seems willing to extend his stay in Spain.
He added: “I am very grateful for everything about United. I have had a tough time at Manchester United, but also a very good time.”
“I’m also going to come here today and enjoy myself. Well, I’m so happy with my head here today.”
