Jose Mourinho has put forward legal claims for damages against Galatasaray due to the “attack of human rights” of “Fenerbahce Coach”.
Mourinho sparked controversy after hiking members “jump like monkeys” on Monday.
This made the party threaten a criminal lawsuit against Mourinho after claiming it was using “inhuman remarks.”
In response, Mourinho said today that he would seek losses of 1.9 million TL Lira against Fenerbahce of Istanbul rival.
“We want to announce to the public that Jose Mourinho filed a lawsuit against Galatasaray Sports Club through a Fenerbahçe Sports Club attorney.
Former Galatasaray striker Didier Drogba, who played for Mourinho at Chelsea, urged his former club to drop the case and described the 62-year-old as his “father”.
Mourinho is fined and banned from four games
TFF banned Mourinho from four matches yesterday and after the match he came to the referee’s room and pointed the “derogatory and offensive statement” at the Turks and fined him £35,000.
The former Chelsea boss is said to have “accused Turkish football of being insulting and confusing, insulting and offensive remarks against the Turkish football community and all Turkish referees”.
TFF said Mourinho’s “actions and remarks that insult the value of Turkish football’s brand” led to a ban on two games in the locker room and touchline, as well as a fine of 117,000 TL (£2,500).
