Atlanta’s 4-0 victory over Juventus in Turin was amazing as fans applied before full-time, leaving the family crowd incredible.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s team dominated from beginning to end, while Thiago Motta’s Juventus had little reaction to the tragic night of Bianconeri.
After McKennie handled it inside the box, the visitor started scoring in the 29th minute.
Juventus struggled to get any offensive momentum, failing to make a shot on the target in the first half, while Atalanta approached the lead before breaking through, hitting the outpost with Lookman and Ederson nearly disappeared from range.
After the interval, Atlanta wasted no time, wasting it 2-0 within a minute of restart. Marten de Roon slammed on a loose ball after Di Gregorio Patman’s shot into the net.
From there, the gates opened.
In the 66th minute, Zappacosta reached out to lead with a clever backhand assist from Kolasinac and covered home from a tight angle. Juventus is now completely deflated, providing no response, and the Allianz crowd begins to disappear quickly.
The humiliation was done in a strange way in the 77th minute. Dusan Vlahovic just acted as a substitute, slipped in the center circle and accidentally sent Lukeman’s goal. The Nigerian strike deflected from Kelly and sat in the bottom corner, making it 4-0.
Juventus eventually forced Canesich to act very late, but McKennie’s header made a great save, but that was too little, too late.
