The Qatari edition is held in November and December, while the 2026 championship will return to the traditional period since the World Cup began in 1930.
The opening match will be held on Thursday, June 11, and the group stage will last until June 27. Round 32 will begin on June 29 and end on July 3, followed by the last 16 games between July 4 and July 7.
The quarter-finals will be held between July 9 and July 11, and the finals will be decided by the semi-finals from July 14 to 15. The third place was held on July 18.

The initial stage has expanded from 16 groups of three teams to 12 groups of 12 countries, increasing the number of national games from 7 games to eight.
The first two teams in each group and eight best third-place teams will reach 32 rounds.
